Massive Attack on the Capital
During the night, Kyiv suffered one of the most powerful attacks since the beginning of the year. According to official reports, at least 14 people were killed, including three children. Dozens were injured, and people may still be trapped under the rubble.

Russian forces struck residential neighborhoods, a school, office centers, and civilian enterprises with missiles and drones. Among the damaged sites is the building hosting the European Union’s representation.

Statements by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy
The President of Ukraine called the strike a “horrific and deliberate killing of civilians.”
“Russia does not choose to end the war – only new strikes. For its refusal to cease fire and its constant attempts to evade negotiations, new strong sanctions are needed. Russians only understand strength and pressure,” Zelenskyy said.
The head of state stressed that this attack is a clear response to those in the world who have called for a ceasefire.
“Russia chooses ballistics over the negotiation table. It chooses killings instead of ending the war. We expect a response from China, from Hungary, and from every state that once called for peace but now remains silent. The death of children cannot leave anyone indifferent,” the President emphasized.

Government Response
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported that more than 500 rescuers and over 1,000 police officers are working across the capital.

“At least eight people were killed, including a child. Dozens were injured. The attack lasted more than nine hours. Russia deliberately struck residential buildings, a school, and shopping centers — exclusively civilian targets. This is mass murder, cold-blooded and merciless,” the Prime Minister stressed.

Call to the World
Ukraine’s leadership demands a decisive international response and new sanctions against Russia.
“After every strike, Moscow must feel the consequences,” Zelenskyy concluded.

Russia proves every day it has no place for peace or diplomacy. It chooses missiles and the deaths of children. The only way to stop terror is through strength, pressure, and tougher sanctions.
