Ukraine has once again endured a massive combined Russian attack. Overnight, the enemy launched more than 50 missiles of various types and around 500 Shahed attack drones, including hypersonic Kinzhal missiles.
The strikes targeted Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Odesa, and Kirovohrad regions.
As of this morning, reports confirm around 10 people injured, including children. Five people were killed.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and thanked all those working on the ground:
“Rescue and recovery operations are ongoing. I am receiving constant updates from Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, Minister for Communities Development Oleksiy Kuleba, regional military administrations, and Naftogaz CEO Serhiy Koretskyi. I expect maximum efficiency and swift action to eliminate the consequences of these attacks.”
Russia Targets Energy and Critical Infrastructure
Once again, Russian forces have struck energy, utility, and transport infrastructure — everything that sustains normal life for millions of Ukrainians.
The President emphasized that Ukraine needs stronger air defense and faster implementation of all defense agreements with its partners.
“We need more protection. A unilateral ceasefire in the sky is possible — and it could open the way to real diplomacy. America and Europe must act to make Putin stop,” President Zelenskyy stated.
Emergency Services Working Around the Clock
Rescue teams, energy workers, and utility services are working tirelessly to restore power, communication, and transportation in the affected regions as quickly as possible.
Ukraine stands strong. And light will return to every Ukrainian home.
