Comprehensive restoration of Borodyanka in the Kyiv region is in full swing, bringing new life to the settlement that became one of the symbols of Ukrainian resilience after Russia’s aggression. One of the key projects is the apartment building at 2 Parkova Street, which was damaged by a blast wave during the early days of the full-scale invasion.

The building suffered extensive destruction: windows, doors, structural elements, and utilities were damaged. Today, it is being actively restored under the national reconstruction program.
Work completed:
- insulation of the technical floor and basement ceiling;
- installation of the main water supply network;
- lighting installation in common areas and roof exits;
- brickwork for ventilation shafts, concrete slab covers, and parapet construction;
- replacement and commissioning of elevator equipment and external/internal gas supply systems.

Ongoing work:
- interior finishing of common areas;
- replacement of the stormwater drainage system in the basement;
- electrical installation — connecting power cables from floor panels to apartments;
- facade and roofing work — insulation and decorative finishing.
Accessibility for people with limited mobility is also a key focus: ramps and tactile tiles are being installed at building entrances.
Rebuilding Together for a Resilient Future
The project is being implemented by the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, the Recovery Agency, and the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

Step by step, Borodyanka is coming back to life — bringing back warmth, light, and home, things that no one can take away.
