Ukraine has reached a historic milestone in the development of its wind energy and industrial engineering sectors.
Friendly Wind Technology LLC has successfully manufactured the first industrial-scale wind turbine blade made in Ukraine, officially marked with the national label “Made in Ukraine.”
The blade measures 75 meters in length, weighs 25 tonnes, and is fully ready for installation. This is not a prototype, but a completed high-tech product that meets global industry standards.
Advanced Technology and International Expertise
The production process utilized a base mold developed by the Swiss company Gurit, state-of-the-art high-tech equipment, and the expertise of a team of engineers and specialists with international experience.
Wind turbine blades designed for 5.2 MW turbines are among the most technologically complex components in the wind energy sector. This production line is being developed by Friendly Composite, a newly established manufacturing division of Friendly Wind Technology.
Full-Scale Production in Ukraine
The manufacturing facility, located in Perechyn, Zakarpattia region, currently produces four blades per month. At the same time, existing capacities already allow for scaling up to full-cycle serial production of wind turbines in Ukraine.
Nearly 90% of the plant’s workforce are local residents of Zakarpattia. These specialists have undergone specialized training from scratch, mastering advanced composite manufacturing technologies and contributing to the creation of world-class energy equipment in their home region.
Official “Made in Ukraine” Certification
The national “Made in Ukraine” marking was officially applied to the first wind turbine blade by Viktor Mykyta, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, together with Vladyslav Yeremenko, CEO of Friendly Wind Technology, and the company’s employees.
This moment marks a breakthrough event for Ukraine’s industrial manufacturing and renewable energy sector.

Each wind turbine blade labeled “Made in Ukraine” represents the work of the Friendly Composite team — engineers, technologists, and production specialists shaping the future of Ukrainian industrial engineering.
This achievement demonstrates Ukraine’s ability to independently develop and manufacture complex, high-tech products for modern wind energy and strengthens the country’s energy independence, even under the most challenging conditions.
